Privacy Policy

Following Him (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the followinghim.app website and the Following Him mobile apps for iOS and Android. This page describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we store your email address and a hashed password (via Supabase Auth). If you sign in with Google we also store your first and last name and your Google account identifier.
• Profile information. During onboarding you may optionally share the number and ages of your children, your gender, marital status, goals, and how you heard about us. You can skip any of these and your account will still work.
• Progress.We record which lesson sections you've completed so we can sync your progress across your devices.
• Subscription billing. When you subscribe via the website we use Stripe to process payment. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but we never see or store your full card number.
• Push tokens. If you grant push permission on mobile we store the Expo push token for your device so we can send the optional daily reminder.
• Device and diagnostic information. We use Sentry to capture crashes and errors. Sentry receives an anonymized user ID and the stack trace — never content of the scripture story, your journal, or your coloring.

How we use your information

• To deliver the curriculum and sync your progress across your devices.
• To send transactional email (welcome, subscription confirmation) and, if you opt in, the daily lesson preview.
• To process your subscription and respond to support requests.
• To diagnose bugs and crashes so we can keep the app stable.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for behavioural ad targeting.

Children's content

Following Him is designed for parents to share with children, but accounts are created and managed by adults. Children don't create their own accounts in the app and we don't knowingly collect information from them directly.

Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone (on web or mobile). When you delete your account we remove your profile, progress, and push tokens, and we immediately cancel any active subscription. Stripe retains payment history for the minimum period required by applicable law.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers who help run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — subscription billing (web only).
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Expo — push notification routing (mobile only).
• Sentry — crash / error reporting.

Your choices

• Update your email preferences at any time from Settings → Email notifications.
• Revoke push notification permission from your device's system settings.
• Request your data or delete your account through Settings (recommended) or by emailing us (below).
